What to Do If GoDaddy Says Your DNS Is Hosted on Cloudflare

Introduction

If you’re experiencing difficulties making changes to your DNS settings in GoDaddy and they inform you that they can’t assist because your DNS is hosted through a different name server (specifically on Cloudflare), you’re not alone. This is a common scenario where DNS settings are managed by a third party, such as Cloudflare, rather than directly through GoDaddy.

Why This Happens

On the backend of GoDaddy, it may state, “We can’t add a DNS record because it is through a different name server.” This means your DNS settings are managed through Cloudflare, not GoDaddy, limiting GoDaddy’s ability to assist with DNS modifications.

How We Can Help

While we can’t grant clients access to our Cloudflare account, we are more than happy to assist you by uploading or modifying any DNS records provided by GoDaddy, such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.

Next Steps

To update or modify your DNS records, please email the specific DNS records to support@luxurypresence.com. Our team will promptly handle the necessary updates on Cloudflare for you.
